Exhibit Fabricator Job Description

Wage: $DOE

Shift: Full time. Possibility of overtime. Mon-Fri, but may include occasional Saturday or evening shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize fabrication and shop skills while building our exhibits.
• Follow all safety protocols and standards.
• Participate in regular training and on-the-job skill development.
• Be involved in exhibit development and projects.
• Thoughtfully promote a love of inquiry and discovery by creating safe, inclusive, and fun opportunities for transformative experiences through high quality, intentional craftsmanship and intelligent, human centered, universal design.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

• Know, understand, and have experience with best practices in exhibit fabrication, shop machines and equipment, materials, engineering, and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of how to use power tools such as table and band saws, sanders and routers.
• Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, respectful, welcoming, reliable, flexible and collaborative.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Pass a background check.
• Be at least 21 years old.
