Job Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for helping provide safe, efficient and reliable product and service delivery to customers, and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery. The Fabricator ensures equipment is delivered on time and according to operational demands, and maintains shop and field equipment.
Job Description
- Operate metal fabricating machines, such as rolls, shears, saws, punch presses, metal flanges and benders, other machinery and hand tools are required, to cut, bend, roll, flange, seam weld and form plates, sheets and structural shapes as specified by layout, templates, and/or instructions
- Knowledge of basic Layout, Measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc)
- Detect unusual conditions or specific problems and report to proper supervision.
- Observe good housekeeping practices and follow prescribed safety precautions.
- Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
- Operate equipment according to procedures, competency levels and job requirement.
- Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process.
- Participate in failure investigations when relevant.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Skills Required
Education
- Required: High school diploma or GED
Additional requirements
- Schedule notes: 1st Shift - M-T 4:00am - 2:30pm, Friday's for mandatory OT. (Schedule is flexible)
Pay rate
- $25 - $28 per hour ($52k - $58k) (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
