The Manufacturing Fabrication Technician is responsible for performing metal fabrication tasks in support of production operations. This role involves operating fabrication machinery, reading blueprints, preparing materials, and ensuring the safe and accurate production of metal components that meet our client’s quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, CNC lasers, shears, and forming machines.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine fabrication requirements.
Measure, cut, form, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
Perform basic welding, grinding, and finishing as needed to complete the product.
Inspect completed parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
Monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and support workflow efficiency.
Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and proper machine operation procedures.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues and improve processes.
Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with ISO and internal safety standards.
Qualifications
Prior experience in metal fabrication, machining, welding, or a related manufacturing role is required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
