Fabricator / Installer

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Lead Installer / Fabricator to lead field installation and shop fabrication operations. The ideal candidate has strong sheet metal skills, can read drawings and plans, and is comfortable leading a crew while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise sheet metal installation crews on commercial and industrial projects.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and measurements.
• Layout, measure, cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal accurately.
• Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, foremen, contractors, and other trades.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, fit, finish, and workmanship.
• Train and assist less-experienced installers and fabricators.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and enforce company safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot field installation and fabrication issues and develop practical solutions.
• Track materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete projects.
• Maintain productivity and help keep projects on schedule.
• Be willing to travel to project locations as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sheet metal installation and/or fabrication experience preferred.
• Previous lead, foreman, or crew-lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and commercial installation.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and ductwork layouts.
• Proficient with tape measure and common sheet metal tools.
• Ability to work independently and lead a crew.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be dependable and able to work overtime and travel when required.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Compensation

$25–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Travel: 50–75% travel may be required.
