Our client is a growing heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication operation seeking Fabrication Technicians to support daily production activities. These positions are responsible for safely operating fabrication equipment to produce finished steel components that meet precise specifications for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operate fabrication machinery and equipment to accurately produce finished rebar steel products according to production specifications and work orders.
Interpret production drawings, cut lists, bend schedules, and fabrication instructions to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine machine inspections and safety checks before, during, and after operation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing scrap materials, debris, and excess materials throughout the shift.
Inspect finished products to verify quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and proper identification.
Properly bundle, secure, tag, and stage finished products for shipment and installation.
Communicate equipment issues, production concerns, safety hazards, near misses, or quality issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines.
Participate in safety meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational training programs.
Support production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in steel fabrication, metal fabrication, manufacturing, machining, welding, or related industrial environments preferred.
Experience operating fabrication equipment, industrial machinery, hand tools, and measuring devices.
Ability to read production drawings, fabrication details, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Basic mathematical and measurement skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ideal Background
1–3 years of experience in steel fabrication, metal fabrication, welding, machining, manufacturing, or industrial production environments preferred.
Experience operating fabrication machinery, production equipment, or automated manufacturing systems.
Knowledge of industrial safety practices, PPE requirements, and equipment operation.
Experience working with structural steel, reinforcing steel, fabricated metal products, or construction-related manufacturing operations.
