Fabricator

**Spartanburg, SC | $28-$32/hr | Full-Time | Day Shift **

Express Employment has partnered with a well-established custom equipment manufacturer in Spartanburg, SC. They have been designing and building material handling and processing equipment for the wood products industry for over 30 years. This is a Fabricator DIRECT HIRE position working on custom projects, solving challenges, and producing high-quality work from start to finish.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out, measure, cut, fit, and weld metal components.
• Fabricate structural assemblies, frames, plates, and stainless-steel components.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding processes as needed.
• Inspect welds for quality, durability, and code compliance.
• Operate and maintain welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment.
• Use air arc gouging and oxy-acetylene equipment for repairs and fabrication.
• Install new equipment and replacement parts.
• Follow all safety procedures and shop standards.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of welding and fabrication experience.

• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, torches, chain hoists, hydraulic jacks, and measuring equipment.

• Ability to perform shop math, including fractions and decimals.

• Welding certification or technical training.
