Metal Fabricator - Owensville, MO
Full-Time | 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Are you mechanically inclined and looking to build a career in manufacturing? Penmac Staffing is seeking a Metal Fabricator for a full-time opportunity in the Owensville area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, reading blueprints, and learning fabrication and machine operation skills in a team-focused environment.Requirements for the Metal Fabricator
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret simple drawings and specifications
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Willingness to learn machine operations and equipment setup
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to submit to required pre-employment screenings
Metal Fabricator Responsibilities
- Learn and perform fabrication tasks by following detailed drawings and work instructions
- Assist with machine setups under the guidance of experienced team members
- Operate fabrication equipment after completing training
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Use hand tools, measuring devices, and production equipment safely
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if needed)
- Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Support production goals and assist team members as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
