We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder II to join a growing manufacturing and fabrication team in Ocala, Florida. This position is responsible for welding, cutting, assembling, and repairing metal components while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and production standards.
Review work orders, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for fabrication and welding tasks.
Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and/or other welding processes as required.
Cut, fit, assemble, and weld metal components according to specifications.
Inspect welds and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
Monitor welding operations to prevent distortion, overheating, or damage to materials.
Repair and modify metal components and equipment as needed.
Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, organized work area.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns promptly.
Assist with other fabrication and production tasks as assigned.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous welding and fabrication experience required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
Knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
Basic math skills for measurements, layouts, and fabrication calculations.
Ability to perform flat, vertical, and overhead welding.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Basic computer skills are a plus.
Valid driver's license may be required based on job duties.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.
Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
Ability to perform repetitive movements and work in various positions.
Must be able to visually inspect welds and fabricated components.
Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.
Frequent exposure to welding equipment, moving machinery, heat, sparks, fumes, and airborne particles.
Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Use of appropriate safety equipment is required at all times.
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
Candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
