Now Hiring for Afternoon and Midnight Shifts

Mountain View Mine | Mount Storm, WV

Alliance Resources, LLC Affiliate, Mettiki Coal WV, LLC is seeking experienced West Virginia Black Hat Miners to join our team at the Mountain View Mine in Mount Storm, West Virginia.

Pay Rate: $34.10 per hour

Additional Compensation: Shift differential for Afternoon and Midnight shifts.

Position Overview

Face Equipment Operators are responsible for safely operating underground mining equipment at the working face, including Continuous Miners and Roof Bolters. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork while ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• West Virginia Black Hat Certification
• Experience operating a Continuous Miner and/or Roof Bolter
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds regularly
• Ability to work safely in underground mining conditions
• Strong safety record, attendance, and teamwork skills

Continuous Miner Operator Responsibilities

• Operate a remote-controlled continuous miner to cut and load coal onto shuttle cars.
• Conduct required air and methane checks before mining operations.
• Move and position equipment, cables, and water hoses as needed.
• Inspect equipment and replace worn or damaged cutting bits.
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and production standards.

Roof Bolter Operator Responsibilities

• Operate a roof bolting machine to install roof support according to approved mining plans.
• Load and handle roof support materials, including bolts, plates, and resin.
• Move and position equipment while protecting trailing cables.
• Maintain ventilation controls and perform required methane and equipment inspections.
• Complete pre-operational and dust control checks.
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and production standards.

Work Schedule

• Currently hiring for Afternoon and Midnight Shifts
• Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work as operational needs require
• Overtime opportunities available

Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting of 50 to 100 pounds
• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and climbing
• Ability to work in low-clearance underground mining environments
• Ability to safely operate mining equipment and hand tools
