Reports to: Executive Lead (GM)

Basic Function

The Facilities Specialist role at Chick-fil-A is to ensure that the restaurants are able to perform their core functions by ensuring the facilities and equipment are maintained within established priorities and processes.  This role will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with all relevant vendors.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with the team to ensure all equipment is function properly
  • Maintains the facility and works with CFA Inc. to coordinate any fixes or upgrades
  • Monitor the appropriate communication channels to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner along with daily updates to ensure transparency
  • Performs all required Preventative Maintenance or works with 3rd party vendors to accomplish required maintenance
  • Keeps projects and tools neatly organized
  • Develops relationships with 3rd party vendors and holds them accountable to their promised agreements
  • Works with Directors of BOH and FOH Operations to maintain a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cleaning schedule for all equipment
  • Manages vendor relationships in regards to facilities and maintenance related endeavors
  • Works with the rest of operations support team to ensure the operations team is able to perform at the highest level
  • Emergency Response: Predetermined permission to come in and perform emergency maintenance if issue prevents operations from working

  • Acknowledges requests within 48 hours. Communicates time-tables for completing requests and projects to restaurant staff and leadership, vendors, and customers.
  • Uses consideration and tact when offering opinions, responses, feedback in the appropriate form of communication.

  • Evaluation/Judgement
  • Is quickly able to decide if the work is able to be completed in house or through a 3rd party based on skills and priorities.
  • Works with 3rd party vendors to diagnose issues to reduce downtime and expedite the repair process.

  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a practical way; creates detailed action plans; organizes and schedules people and tasks effectively.
  • Will complete repairs, when possible, within 48 hours or will provide a detailed timeline on the repair plan.

Education – Skills - Expectations 

  • Previous Maintenance experience required
  • Previous Vendor experience preferred
