Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Facilities Building Manager to join a financial services company in Birmingham, AL. This is a 6-month contract to start with the potential for extensions. 

Pay:$23.00 - $28.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.


Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs department operations and performs administrative duties.
  • Participate in the development of strategic planning documents and tactical plans to include overseeing unit goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes and prepares formal reports and correspondence.
  • Supports the efforts of company-wide operations by attending meetings, providing direction and input on various initiatives, and implementing new or revised facilities programs.
  • Develops facilities operations budget and monitors expenditures.
  • Ensures Bank facilities, equipment, grounds, and landscaping are maintained according to high standards and monitors environmental conditions through building management software and systems.
  • Inspects facilities and monitors preventive maintenance programs.
  • Monitors energy usage and implements improvements to increase sustainability.
  • Schedules air quality testing and ensures results meet clean air standards. Conducts routine building inspections for safety and OSHA compliance and directs the annual OSHA inspections and follows up on compliance violations.
  • Develops and implements emergency procedures and safety standards for building operations staff.
  • Employs the services of external consultants and contractors on highly complex/critical facilities projects. Reviews, analyzes and modifies engineering designs, drawings and specifications for new and revised complex building systems, repairs and equipment.
  • Plans and executes construction and renovation projects.
  • Reviews consultant proposals, recommendations, drawings and specifications and coordinates project work with consultants and contractors.
  • Prepares and Analyzes proposals and cost estimates submitted by contractors along with recommendations by consultants.
  • Monitors contractor performance for quality, adherence to requirements, safety protocols, and timeliness.
  • Provides direction to contractors when needed. Reviews and authorizes billing.
  • Acts as a liaison with outside vendors, tenants, and contractors. Schedules and coordinates projects, orders supplies, inspects work for quality and adherence to specifications and building codes and authorizes payment as work is completed.
  • Reviews drawings and specifications for adherence to standards, contract documents, and building codes, including OSHA and ADA.
  • Monitors energy usage and takes action on energy-saving initiatives.
  • Oversees quality tests of building air and water.
  • Develops and implements emergency procedures and safety standards for building operations staff. Conducts tests of emergency equipment.
  • Recruits, interviews, assigns work, evaluates employee performance and recommends areas needing improvement.
  • Coaches and provides performance feedback to employees, resolves complex/sensitive problems, and administers
  • disciplinary action as necessary. Recommends merit and promotional increases and other related personnel actions.
  • Analyzes staff career development needs, schedules and implements training classes and seminars, and utilizes cross training to enhance on-the-job development.
  • Supports national critical infrastructure functions as part of Client’s payment systems processing support structure.
  • Manages, plans, and directs the operation and administration of the Facilities building operations unit including building/facility operations, housekeeping, maintenance and preventive maintenance of buildings and building equipment systems, as well as execution of Bank renovation projects.
  • Provides technical assistance to other departments and functional areas, oversees
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and practices organizationally and develops/implements emergency procedures and safety procedures for maintenance staff.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies engineering designs, drawings and specifications for new and revised complex building systems, repairs, and equipment.
  • May provide/review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for various building systems and equipment.
  • Supports national critical infrastructure functions as part of Client’s payment systems processing support structure.


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience

Experience: Five to eight years preferre
