Prescreening Questions:
What ERP and procurement systems have you worked on (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, or a CMMS/Maximo)?
What categories of facilities goods and services have you purchased (e.g., MRO, HVAC, electrical, janitorial, landscaping, construction, building equipment)?
Walk me through your approach to sourcing and negotiating a service contract or maintenance agreement.
What negotiation strategy do you typically use with facilities suppliers and contractors?
Responsibilities
Manage and direct suppliers and teammates to support facilities operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects across *** sites.
Ensure facilities program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the operational needs of ***.
Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quote, perform price analyses in support of proposals, and develop negotiation strategies for facilities goods and services.
Construct various contracting types for major facilities procurement activities, including service agreements, construction contracts, long-range procurement agreements, and sourcing partnerships.
Take ownership of the procurement process from requisition creation through final payment of invoices and resolve issues within this process.
Lead the identification, implementation, negotiation, execution, and management of strategic agreements (i.e., Long-Term Agreements (LTAs)) for facilities categories such as MRO, building services, and equipment.
Support the overall procurement organization's strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved.
Ensure delivery of facilities materials, equipment, and services that are on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety requirements.
Requirements
Knowledge and experience in procurement and supplier management, preferably within facilities, MRO, or indirect categories.
Understanding and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Experience with negotiating and managing multiple contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M), and service-based agreements.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and successfully balancing priorities.
Strong analytical skills; data driven with experience in establishing and tracking procurement metrics.
Must have top-notch people and communication skills.
Familiarity with facilities-related compliance and safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and supplier qualification processes.
Ability to read and interpret facilities-related documentation such as statements of work, equipment specifications, and building drawings.
Prior experience purchasing for facilities, real estate, construction, or manufacturing operations.
Experience procuring building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), MRO supplies, or capital equipment.
Experience with import/export (ITAR/EAR) regulations.
Nice-to-haves
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Facilities Management (FMP/CFM) Certification.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, SharePoint, or CMMS platforms.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or similar with minimum 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
