Reporting directly to the Director of Project Management, the Facilities/Capital Projects Engineer develops and manages complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing and facilities capital projects, through performance contracting, critical path scheduling, and other best management practices, to ensure the capital improvement and preventive maintenance program is consistent County-wide. In addition, this position plays a key role in developing the Countys Capital Plan and implementing the facility plan that was developed for the Countys capital assets. RetirementAll full-time employees and part-time employees working more than 1,000 hours per year qualify for Luzerne County retirement benefits, in which employees must contribute 5% of their earnings, and may choose to add to an additional voluntary contribution, not to exceed an additional 10%.
