Description:
Provides support to Facilities/Construction Management for the purchase of MRO goods and essential services for the University Facilities/Construction Management department. Review and prepare department purchase requisitions, purchase orders and facilitate P-Card transactions to provide departments with goods and services. Assist with the Preparation of Invoice validation reports for management review. Assists with financial, asset inventory and safety training operations of large or complex unit department programs.
Provides procurement guidance and assistance to Facilities/Construction Management staff with the complex purchases of MRO materials and essential services within specific commodity groupings to meet departmental needs.
Obtains price quotations for wide ranges of products as well preparing Internal purchase orders and ensuring compliance with state regulations and university policies.
Prepares purchase requisitions, purchase orders and coordinates P-Card transactions to facilitate purchase of MRO materials and essential services.
Acts as a liaison between vendors and departments for order status, procurement procedures, and problem resolutions. Maintains awareness of current market trends and techniques to ensure the most cost-efficient purchases.
Assists with projects and programs coordination to ensure implementation and prescribed compliance activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
Develops and maintains effective communication methods for external vendors and assigned areas and programs, ensuring that issues are properly communicated and resolved.
Assists in the development and application of University service standards and ensures compliance with all applicable codes as well as university and state business regulations.
Prepares and presents recurring and various ad-hoc program reports, proposals, Invoice Validation reports, manuals and other program documentation as required for management use.
Assists with financial, asset inventory and safety training operations of large or complex unit department programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
