Responsibilities
The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, maintenance, and upkeep of facility equipment, building systems, and administrative support related to facility operations. This position is an individual contributor role and does not have direct reports.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
Perform and coordinate routine and preventative maintenance for facility equipment and building systems.
Ensure all equipment and facility infrastructure are maintained in safe and functional working condition.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and operational impact.
Maintain logs and records related to equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Monitor condition of production support equipment and facility assets and communicate risks or issues proactively.
Vendor & Service Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Request quotes, schedule service work, and follow up on vendor performance and completion of work.
Coordinate repairs, inspections, and facility-related projects within approved budgets.
Inventory & Purchasing
Order maintenance, facility, and administrative supplies as needed, including but not limited to saw blades, tools, parts, and consumables.
Maintain inventory levels of maintenance-related supplies and products to support ongoing operations.
Generate purchase requisitions and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Administrative & Communication Responsibilities
Communicate regularly with management regarding facility status, equipment conditions, repair needs, and completed work.
Provide updates on ongoing maintenance activities and anticipated service timelines.
Maintain organized documentation related to building maintenance, warranties, vendor agreements, and inspections.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure facility and equipment compliance with applicable safety standards and OSHA-related regulations.
Support safe work practices by identifying hazards and coordinating corrective actions.
Participate in facility safety meetings and support site safety initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in facility maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related field required.
Working knowledge of building systems, general maintenance practices, and equipment troubleshooting.
Experience coordinating vendors and external service providers.
Ability to manage inventory and purchasing processes.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and maintenance instructions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
