Facilities Coordinator

General Summary: Under the guidance and direction of the Director, Environment of Care, the Facilities Coordinator performs general janitorial functions, some light groundskeeping duties, and a variety of preventative maintenance and repair tasks. Makes routine repairs to electrical, plumbing, and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, and assists in coordinating major repairs, carpentry, and construction projects. Essential Functions: 1. Completes or coordinates repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance activities at the Hillsdale and Jackson offices as well as LifeWays-owned group homes in a prompt and professional manner. 2. Maintains documentation and record of repair and maintenance activities, space utilization requests and, follow through communication(s). 3. Performs ground maintenance functions such as shoveling snow, spreading salt, and other related tasks. 4. Serves as Governance Floor Warden for safety purposes. 5. Monitors cameras, reports incidents or activity to Director, Facilities as necessary. 6. Effectively communicates environmental, safety, and health information to team members at all levels of the agency. 7. Responds to priority incidents based on position coverage, completes related paperwork. 8. Maintains and updates the master list of Room Occupants. 9. Orders ID badges for vendors or employees through the LifeWays IT Help Desk program, as requested.
