Position Summary The Facilities Coordinator supports the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and overall functionality of the SafeNest Residential Campus. This position serves as the hands-on coordinator for routine facility needs, work orders, vendor access, inventory management, campus inspections, and preventative maintenance activities. The Facilities Coordinator works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the campus remains safe, secure, clean, and welcoming for residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors. This position is responsible for identifying facility concerns, coordinating repairs, maintaining facility records, and assisting with campus improvement projects while providing excellent customer service to internal departments. Primary Responsibilities Facility Operations & Maintenance - Conduct daily campus walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and facility improvement opportunities.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs as assigned.
- Respond to facility work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate and track maintenance requests from Residential, Housing, Clinical, One Safe Place, and Administrative teams.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and ensure tasks are completed according to established timelines.
- Maintain campus appearance, cleanliness standards, and functionality of common areas.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination - Coordinate vendor access and scheduling under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
- Escort vendors and contractors as needed to ensure compliance with campus safety and confidentiality requirements.
- Verify completion of contracted work and report concerns to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with gathering bids, service records, and vendor documentation.
Safety & Security Support - Conduct routine inspections of emergency equipment, lighting, signage, gates, locks, and safety systems.
- Report safety hazards, security concerns, or facility deficiencies immediately.
- Assist with monitoring security cameras and reporting equipment issues.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and campus safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with facility safety procedures and protocols.
Campus & Property Management - Assist with maintaining campus grounds, parking lots, storage areas, outdoor spaces, and residential common areas.
- Monitor facility supplies and inventory levels, including maintenance materials, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment.
- Coordinate furniture moves, office setups, room reconfigurations, and campus event support.
- Assist with facility readiness for inspections, audits, donor tours, and community events.
Pet Program Facility Support - Assist with maintaining pet kennels, outdoor pet areas, fencing, and related equipment.
- Monitor facility conditions and report repair or safety concerns affecting animal care areas.
- Support campus cleanliness and safety standards within pet program facilities.
Administrative Responsibilities - Maintain facility logs, inspection records, maintenance schedules, and work order tracking systems.
- Track inventory, supply requests, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.
- Prepare reports and updates regarding completed maintenance activities and outstanding facility needs.
- Assist with documenting facility projects and maintaining compliance records.
Skills and Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one to three years of experience in maintenance, facilities operations, property management, construction support, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair practices, and safety procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Valid Nevada driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred - Experience working in a nonprofit, residential, shelter, hospitality, healthcare, or property management environment.
- Experience coordinating vendors or service providers.
- Knowledge of OSHA and facility safety standards.
- Trade certifications or vocational training in maintenance, facilities, or construction-related fields.
