The Facilities Coordinator ensures efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities across Teslas R&D facilities. This mid-level role focuses on optimizing resource allocation, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with company standards. Key responsibilities include developing maintenance strategies, managing work order systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions. The position requires technical expertise in facilities equipment, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. This role is ideal for candidates with proven facilities planning experience seeking to drive operational excellence in a high-growth environment. Flexibility to support urgent maintenance needs or after-hours operations may be required.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm (subject to change based on operational needs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair tasks across diverse facilities systems and equipment.
  • Develop, update, and validate maintenance/calibration schedules for manufacturing facility equipment.
  • Generate periodic reports on maintenance performance, including uptime metrics and cost savings.
  • Analyze equipment breakdowns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for improved reliability.
  • Review and refine preventive maintenance (PM) protocols based on supplier guidelines and team feedback.
  • Manage work order lifecycle from creation to completion, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience with facilities systems and equipment, and/or prior experience as a planner or scheduler (2 years preferred).
  • Degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in PM development, KPI dashboards, and CMMS database systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in spare parts inventory management and technical documentation.
  • Project management experience with a focus on cost-saving facility improvements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and fluency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational abilities.

Expected Compensation: $18.40 - $57.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
