Job Title: Facilities Coordinator
Job Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)
Job Duration: 3+ Months (Possible extension or possible FTE)
Schedule: Hours 7 AM 4 PM, Monday Friday

Job Description:
Summary
The Facilities & Logistics Coordinator supports daily onsite operations by:

Managing shipping and receiving (including IATA-compliant shipments)
Providing light facilities maintenance
Serving as the primary client representative for client-facing interactions
Ensuring smooth workplace operations while maintaining client service standards

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving (Primary 4 6 hours/day)

Receive, log, distribute, and ship inbound/outbound materials and packages
Prepare and process IATA-compliant shipments (dangerous goods, regulated materials) experience highly preferred
Coordinate with couriers, freight vendors, and internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate shipping records, tracking, and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements
Maintain inventory of shipping materials

Facilities & Workplace Support

Perform light maintenance (minor repairs, basic troubleshooting)
Submit and track service requests and vendor work orders
Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify facility issues
Support preventive maintenance and safety programs
Assist with light workplace experience duties (e.g., break areas)

Client & Customer Experience (Face of Client)

Serve as front-line client representative for onsite clients and vendors
Deliver high-touch customer service and professional communication
Respond promptly to service requests and inquiries
Build strong client relationships and maintain a polished environment
Follow client policies, EHS standards, and client-specific procedures

Required Qualifications

Experience in shipping & receiving (IATA certification or hands-on experience)
Prior facilities, workplace services, or operations experience
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform light physical work (lifting/moving equipment up to 50 lbs)
Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, work order systems)
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in corporate, lab, or tech environments
Material handling experience
