Job Title: Facilities Coordinator

Location: Long Beach, CA
Job Type: Contract | 14 Weeks | Local or Traveler
Shift: Variable

We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building systems and critical infrastructure in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. This role focuses on maintaining uptime, preventive maintenance, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, steam/boiler, water, compressed air, and mechanical infrastructure
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Monitor system performance and proactively address operational risks
• Support uninterrupted facility operations and respond to system failures
• Lead troubleshooting efforts during maintenance and emergencies
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and audit requirements
• Manage vendors, service contracts, and maintenance activities
• Support budget planning and capital improvement projects
• Assist with equipment installation and facility expansion initiatives
• Work alongside technicians when needed to resolve issues quickly
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and repairs
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of facilities, plant, or equipment management experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, steam systems, boilers, electrical, water, and mechanical systems
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance budgets
• Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Technical certifications, OSHA training, or related credentials preferred
