As a Facilities Management Coordinator at our facility, you will have the opportunity to be both an expert in your field and a caregiver, providing important services for our patients and staff. Be familiar with, and provide guidance to maintenance staff on codes and regulatory requirements
Works with the Director, Facilities Management to coordinate, plan, organize and control the day-to-day activities of the SMC Engineering department to provide service, repairs and maintenance necessary to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the hospital and its ancillary buildings.
Assist with Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), Infection Control risk Assessment (ICRA), utility shutdown requests and work permits.
Maintains a comfortable, clean environment for patients, colleagues, medical staff and the public per policies, procedures and standards of HCA, TJC, DPH, CMS and other local, state and federal agencies having jurisdiction.
Provides direct oversight and coordination of third party contractors and vendors, as needed.
Creates, manages, maintains and monitors work order and preventive maintenance activities; and asset management in Engineering Central.
Provides administrative support for the Engineering department, including but not limited to, assisting vendors, ordering office supplies, maintaining department files, and preparation of documents.
Performs a variety of duties to purchase materials, equipment, and services according to hospital guidelines for cost, quality and delivery.
High School Diploma/GED required
Ability to read and interpret Blueprints and Specifications is required
Familiar with Joint Commission Standards and NFPA relating to healthcare facilities is preferred
3+ year(s) of experience in supervisory or service coordination role in facilities or building maintenance is preferred
