Facilities Custodian

An energetic and detail-oriented Facilities Custodian who takes pride in creating clean, organized, and inviting spaces. Handles daily cleaning, restocking, and maintenance of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas to ensure a top-notch environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Help keep the facility clean, safe, and ready for daily operations across office and production areas.
• Ensure spaces are fully prepared for use by handling trash removal, floor care, dusting, and general tidiness.
• Maintain restrooms to high standards through cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies.
• Organize and prioritize daily cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay flexible and adapt to changing facility needs and priorities.
• Perform deeper cleaning tasks using commercial-grade equipment.
• Spot and report maintenance issues to keep the facility in top condition.
• Keep supply areas stocked, organized, and well-managed.
• Coordinate with purchasing to maintain steady cleaning supply levels.
• Follow all safety protocols, especially for chemical use and disposal.
• Work with strong attention to detail and clear communication.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support operations.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES: 

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• One or more years’ experience cleaning in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to plan and organize efficiently, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks.
• Previous custodial and grounds experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus integrity and ability to work independently.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling for extended periods. Ability to walk long distances and perform repetitive tasks; manual dexterity. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to work on some occasions on the production floor.  The work environment involves the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold regularly. Exposure to machine and tool hazards requires care and attention to safety rules and standards.
