Job Description

The City of Saratoga Springs currently has an opening for a Facilities Custodian. This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week. This position performs routine custodial duties to ensure that facilities are clean, safe, attractive, and secure.

Works under the specific direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and the general direction of the Office & Facilities Administrator. All employees are also under the general supervision of the City Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs custodial and cleaning services such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash containers, dusting furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, cleaning interior windows, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, locker rooms, kitchens, and break rooms, polishing fixtures, and filling dispensers.
  • May be required to work outside of regular business hours as needed and may be required for emergency cleanup and repairs or scheduled maintenance work.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two (2) years' of experience working in custodial fields, building maintenance, or a related field

Certifications Required:

  • Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License.

  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with staff and the general public
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Adhere to best safety practices and comply with OSHA mandates

  • This position requires the employee to drive City vehicles

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
The full salary range is as follows, please note hiring will normally occur at the Minimum of the range and will not exceed the Midpoint of the range:

Minimum - $18.19hr.
Midpoint - $21.83/hr.
Maximum - $25.47/hr.

Benefits:

This position does not receive benefits

Schedule:

Monday -Saturday - 4-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with some flexibility on days and hours.  Availability on Saturdays is required
