Facilities Director

 

 

 

Directs and coordinates activities of all maintenance personnel engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings,

grounds, and utility systems. Responsible for all maintenance programs at FIBA facilities.

 

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

Schedules, organizes, and directs all repair, maintenance, and installation of heavy industrial machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations. May participate in all maintenance activities as needed.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Develops, manages and monitors a preventative maintenance programs for all FIBA Facilities across the US
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs (green activities), and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Project management of small to large renovations and construction projects, such as new buildings, additions, parking lots, drainage, etc.
Order supplies and equipment as it relates to maintenance items.
Organize and maintains an inventory of components and supplies needed for on-going maintenance.
Ensure all company mandated safety rules and policies are followed by maintenance personnel.
Evaluates subcontractors and determines if they are required for maintenance issues.
Coordinates and tracks maintenance assignments utilizing a work order system.
Prioritizes maintenance issues and assigns work orders and notifies appropriate plant personnel upon completion.
Prepares and /or assists in budgeting and implementing capital projects.

 

 

To perform this job successfully the person must possess an BA or BS from a four year college and have 5-7 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have experience supervising employees in a maintenance environment at multiple locations, project management and successful implementation of a preventative maintenance program.

 

 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
 

Makes timely decisions exhibiting sound and accurate judgment. Supports and explains reasoning for decisions. Includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
 

 

Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
 

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Various PPE devices & equipment such as gloves, hard hat, safety shoes, hearing protection and glasses are required.

 

 

May be required to be on call or report to duty during emergency situations.
