The Town Center at Tuckers Cove, located in Punta Gorda, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Facilities Director! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation: $100,000 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facilities and maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
  • Manage the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation.
  • Maintain regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the emergency response team for all facility issues.
  • Manage property operations and engineering budgets.
  • Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
  • Maintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
  • Establish and manage an effective rooms maintenance program.
  • Ensure compliance with all Facilities departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assign and monitor daily, weekly and monthly facility projects.
  • Manage departments controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of Facilities.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all interior and exterior lighting, kitchen equipment, swimming pools and equipment, ice machines, air conditioning equipment, plumbing, fire control equipment, and guest room repairs.
  • Maintain property standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
  • Assist in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
  • Help establish priorities for total property maintenance needs.
  • Ensure ongoing communication occurs in all areas of responsibility to create awareness of business objectives, expectations, and recognition of exemplary performance.
  • Manage and conduct Human Resources activities.
  • Supervise employees ability to execute departmental responsibilities.
  • Review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
  • Help ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Hotel Management, Chief Engineer, or Director of Engineering in a full-service hotel or resort.
  • Strong budgetary, projections, and cost control skills.
  • Prior experience working with Preventative Maintenance programs.
  • Strong understanding of policy, planning and strategy.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using correct spelling and grammar, with guests, co-workers and management, both in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to provide legible written communication, compute basic mathematical calculations, and utilize computer data.
  • Ability to understand member concerns and find solutions using good judgment; maintain discretion and diplomacy while performing job duties to promote positive relations with guests, members and staff, while remaining calm, courteous and helpful.
  • Ability to think clearly and quickly, effectively prioritize, organize and follow up within the appropriate time frame.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all member information.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments.
  • Ability to interact positively with members in person and on the phone in challenging conversations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and attend events as requested.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily indoor shifts but may on occasion require outdoor shifts for member-related events.
