Be the Expert Who Keeps the Plant Powered

Do you thrive where precision, safety, and uptime meet? Imagine being the go-to problem solver when a line needs power, a transformer needs tapping, or a control circuit goes dark. As our Facilities Electrical Systems Specialist, you’ll ensure reliable power and safe operation across Shady Grove — and wherever our Maintenance leadership needs you.

Your Mission

Deliver top-tier electrical installation and maintenance services across facilities designated by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, the Electrical Engineer, or their representatives. Drive operational excellence by actively supporting Lean, 5S, and TPR.

How You’ll Contribute

  1. Master a broad electrical landscape: three-phase 480/12500 volt distribution, single-phase feeder and branch circuits, and low-voltage DC controls.
  2. Commission, maintain, and repair equipment — motors, generators, transfer switches, transformers, switchgear, bus ducts, and disconnects.
  3. Use disciplined troubleshooting to pinpoint faults and restore function fast.
  4. Apply NEC, IEEE, and NEMA requirements; perform load calculations to size conductors, conduit, fuses, and breakers per the National Electrical Code.
  5. Support the team with other tasks as directed by supervision.

What You Bring

  • Deep working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA70E related to energized work in heavy manufacturing.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; technical trade schooling and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Preferred: 2+ years in heavy manufacturing, a commercial/industrial apprenticeship, or relevant military experience.

Safety First, Always

  • Keep your area audit-ready with strong housekeeping and 5S.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all facility-wide and job-specific procedures.
  • Engage actively in safety training and demonstrate competency afterward.
  • Speak up about hazards and unsafe acts; fix what you can.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in reading electrical schematics, wiring and ladder diagrams, plus single-line high-voltage diagrams supporting Arc Flash NFPA70E compliance.
  • Comfort reading technical manuals and operating procedures; able to write clear routine reports and correspondence.
