Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Activities
  • Analyze HVAC performance using FDD tools to identify faults and inefficiencies.
  • Develop and prioritize optimization actions, including setpoints, schedules, and control improvements.
  • Lead recurring service calls and communicate findings with facilities, client, and energy teams.

Position Responsibilities –A Day in the Life
  • Provide ongoing HVAC Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) support for global facilities, independently managing assigned building performance efforts and translating analytics insights into actionable maintenance and optimization improvements.
  • Lead recurring service meetings with facilities, operations, energy teams, and client engineers.
  • Review building documentation to understand system design intent.
  • Analyze building analytics data to identify HVAC faults, inefficiencies, and operational issues.
  • Develop and prioritize maintenance and optimization recommendations, including control sequence improvements, setpoint adjustments, and scheduling optimization.
  • Create data-driven visualizations to communicate findings and quantify operational and energy impacts.
  • Clearly communicate technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with client vendors and controls contractors to support data-driven maintenance and optimization efforts.
  • Support internal teams during FDD deployment and analytics onboarding.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience in HVAC systems, building operations, commissioning, or related facilities engineering roles.
  • Working knowledge of airside and central plant HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems (Client), and control strategies.
  • Experience analyzing HVAC performance data, trends, alarms, and operational behavior.
  • Ability to independently develop technical recommendations based on system performance data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred location: Candidate located near *** facilities in Minnesota. Candidates located near other *** sites, including Denver, North Haven, Tempe, Tijuana, and Puerto Rico, will also be considered.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% to support site engagement, deployment activities, and collaboration.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) platforms, including Clockworks Analytics or similar building performance analytics tools.
  • Experience with advanced Building Automation Systems, including Niagara-based or other enterprise Client platforms.
  • Experience navigating Client front ends, reviewing control logic, and supporting data-driven troubleshooting and optimization efforts.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data-driven maintenance workflows.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Client vendors or controls contractors.
  • Familiarity with energy management, sustainability initiatives, or smart building technologies.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Plans, designs, and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
