Overview

\n

Our client is seeking a Facilities Engineer II to serve as a technical lead for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and support facilities projects across multiple sites. This role will oversee BAS design, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrades, and optimization while managing vendors and contractors.

\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n

• \n
• Lead BAS projects from design through implementation and commissioning.
• \n
• Review drawings, specifications, and BAS system designs.
• \n
• Manage external vendors and contractors.
• \n
• Troubleshoot and optimize BAS, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• \n
• Manage project budgets, RFPs, POs, and capital requests.
• \n
• Maintain BAS standards, SOPs, and commissioning documentation.
• \n
• Train Facilities/Maintenance teams on BAS operations.
• \n
• Document work and resolutions in a CMMS.
• \n
• Support long-term BAS strategy and technology improvements.
• \n
• Provide occasional off-hours support.
• \n

Must Have

\n

• \n
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
• \n
• 2+ years of experience with BAS, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• \n
• Strong HVAC experience.
• \n
• Strong BAS experience, including design, installation, and commissioning.
• \n
• Experience managing vendors/contractors and facilities projects.
• \n
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• \n
• Ability to work 4 days/week onsite in Tempe, AZ.

• Tridium/Niagara, Honeywell, or Distech experience.
• \n
• Niagara certification.
• \n
• CMMS experience.
• \n
• BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks knowledge.
• \n
• EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification.
• \n
• Cleanroom/controlled environment experience.
• \n
• Spanish/English bilingual.
• \n
