DescriptionDSRT SURF isn't a traditional workplace, and we're not looking for a traditional Facilities Engineer.We're building a fast-growing hospitality and lifestyle brand where surf culture, operations, guest experience, and property maintenance all come together in a unique environment. We're looking for someone who is hands on, mechanically minded, dependable, and excited to help maintain and support a one-of-a-kind property from the ground up.The Facilities Engineer supports the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operational functionality of the property and equipment at DSRT SURF. This role works closely with the Facilities Manager and facilities team to help maintain a safe, clean, and operational environment across the property. This role offers room for growth within the Facilities and Operations team as DSRT SURF continues to evolve.What You'll DoAssist with day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operational support across the propertyHelp inspect, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems, equipment, and operational areasSupport preventive maintenance programs and facility upkeepAssist with maintaining pools, lagoon areas, outdoor spaces, and guest facing operational environmentsHelp maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness throughout the propertySupport setup, repairs, and operational needs across multiple departments as neededAssist with inventory, tools, equipment organization, and maintenance documentationFollow company safety procedures and operational standards at all timesWork collaboratively with facilities leadership and operational teams to support smooth daily operationsRequirementsWhat You BringPrevious facilities, maintenance, engineering, construction, mechanical, or property operations experience preferredBasic knowledge of maintenance systems, tools, and repair proceduresStrong troubleshooting and problem solving abilitiesAbility to work safely in active operational environmentsStrong work ethic and willingness to learnAbility to prioritize tasks and adapt in fast paced environmentsOSHA, maintenance, pool, aquatics, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications are a plusComfortable working outdoors and in physically active environmentsStokeWho You AreYou're curious, positive, and excited to help build something unique from the ground up.You enjoy hands on work, solving problems, and supporting the overall operation behind the scenes.You're dependable, adaptable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team.You take pride in keeping environments clean, safe, operational, and guest ready.Current Work EnvironmentDSRT SURF is currently operating from an active construction and development site as we prepare for opening. Team members may occasionally work around construction activity, dust, noise, uneven surfaces, machinery, and changing operational environments.Appropriate footwear and adherence to all company safety guidelines will be required while on site. Work boots and other safety related attire may be required during this phase of development.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb, squat, and move throughout indoor and outdoor operational areas for extended periodsAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 poundsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditionsAbility to safely operate around tools, equipment, machinery, and maintenance related environmentsAbility to work in a fast-paced hospitality and construction adjacent environmentSchedule ExpectationsThis is a full time or part time, in person position. Scheduling needs and hours may vary based on operational demands, construction timelines, projects, maintenance priorities, and opening needs.
