Role Overview
In Savannah, Georgia is seeking a Facilities Engineer.  The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the engineering, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of facility infrastructure and building systems. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of facilities by managing utilities, building systems, capital projects, contractor activities, regulatory compliance, and facility-related engineering initiatives. The Facilities Engineer works closely with operations, maintenance, environmental health and safety (EHS), engineering, and external service providers to support business objectives and facility performance.

Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate company core competencies including action orientation, customer focus, change leadership, ownership, and continuous development of self and others.
Provide engineering support for facility infrastructure systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection, building automation, and related utilities.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve facility asset reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and life-cycle performance through root cause analysis, maintenance strategies, and asset management programs.
Develop and maintain engineering standards, technical specifications, operating procedures, and facility documentation.
Manage preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs utilizing CMMS tools to track asset performance, maintenance activities, and key metrics.
Lead facility capital projects, renovations, expansions, and infrastructure improvements from concept through completion, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, and execution.
Drive energy management, sustainability, and environmental initiatives by analyzing utility consumption, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with environmental requirements.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, local codes, and company standards through inspections, audits, risk assessments, permitting, fire protection management, and emergency preparedness activities.
Manage contractor, vendor, and service provider relationships, including bid evaluations, contract administration, safety oversight, quality assurance, and service performance management.
Develop and manage facility operating and capital budgets, monitor expenditures, support long-range asset planning, and prepare business cases for capital investments.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, operational efficiency, and cost reduction using data-driven decision making, Lean principles, and industry best practices.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
3%2B years of experience in facilities engineering, maintenance engineering, manufacturing, industrial operations, or related field.
Experience with utility systems, building infrastructure, and capital project management preferred.
Experience with CMMS, BMS, and industrial facility systems preferred.
Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and facility utilities.
Knowledge of maintenance and reliability principles.
Project management and contractor coordination experience.
Understanding of OSHA, NFPA, environmental, and building code requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, CMMS, and facility management software.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
