Our client, a Aerospace And Defense company, is looking for a Facilities Engineer Sr. (Level 3) for their Grand Prairie, TX location.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiency in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Plans, designs and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, labs, offices and other facilities.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
As the Facilities Engineer Sr. (Level 3) you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of facility solutions that support manufacturing and operational excellence.
Develop and recommend long range space plans to meet future needs
Create detailed layouts using CAD (Auto CAD) based on customer requirements
Coordinate with Production Operations and Industrial Engineering for process flow layouts and clearances
Field verify drawings and manage as built releases with architecture/engineering firms
Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and quality requirements

Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented engineer with deep architectural and industrial engineering experience.
You will have a direct impact on facility performance, enabling efficient manufacturing and supporting critical defense programs.
Generally, has 3+ years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree required
3-5 years' experience with AutoCAD (drafts in 2D)
Experience in production operations or Manufacturing
