Safe Harbor Rybovich is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of diesel equipment in the field. You will travel to various job sites within the Safe Harbor network, to make electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on equipment such as cimolai lifts, marine travel lifts, Marina Bull (wiggins) forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, diesel compressors, fleet vehicles, and more. Applicants should have some experience with off road, diesel heavy equipment repair so they can determine what parts and tools are necessary for repairs. This role involves using a tablet to run diagnostic tests and enter job information. This position may also be referred to as Facilities Assistant.
Hours
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
Operate equipment listed below but not limited to:
Marine Travel lifts
Cimolai lifts
SH Fleet vehicles
Pickups, flat beds with trailers, and vans
Marina bull lifts
All forklifts from 6,000 lbs to 30,000 lbs
Manlifts exceeding 125' high
Scissor lifts - electric, gas and diesel up to 50' high
Golf carts - gas and electric
Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
Troubleshoot issues with gasoline engines
Troubleshoot generator issues
Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
Complete shop paperwork
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Availability to work overtime when required
Other duties as assigned by Manager
