Job Description Summary

Our Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Facilities General Laborer to perform a variety of routine and semi-routine tasks to maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and appearance of our facilities and grounds. This role is essential for supporting a safe and productive work environment for all employees.

Job Description:

  • Monitor and maintain coolant levels in machining equipment while documenting inspections.
  • Maintain hydraulic oil and way lube levels on broaches and production equipment.
  • Clean and maintain lubricant pumps, reservoirs, and filtration systems.
  • Perform lubrication preventive maintenance on all assigned manufacturing equipment.
  • Clean coolant tanks, drip pans, and waste collection systems.
  • Perform scheduled deep cleaning of coolant tanks using the evaporator system.
  • Maintain Toyota grinder coolant and waste tanks.
  • Organize, label, and inventory lubricants and fluids throughout the facility.
  • Operate industrial floor scrubbers.
  • Clean oil, coolant, and hydraulic spills in accordance with environmental and safety procedures.
  • Operate the facility trash compactor.
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a general labor, janitorial, or facilities maintenance role is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
