What you’ll tackle

• Preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance driven by a CMMS—then document everything clearly and completely.
• Install/repair/maintain motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, AHUs, plus VAV and fan-powered boxes.
• Maintain safe operation of environmental controls, oil/gas-fired water tube boilers, and auxiliary systems (pumps, de-aerating tanks, air compressor blowers, etc.).
• Diagnose control and stationary system issues using proper inspection, testing, and monitoring techniques; handle tools safely.
• Learn facility layouts quickly—know where systems live and how they’re supposed to operate.
• Follow CGL Facility Management, LLC, OSHA, and client standards at all times.
• Verify completed work meets local building and safety codes.
• Escort subcontractors on site and verify their work aligns with scope and standards.
• Pitch in on other PM and corrective tasks as assigned; keep the workspace clean and safe.
• Finish all required compliance, safety, and development training.
• Help train teammates in the fundamentals of the trade; provide mentorship, oversight, and direction.
• Be prepared to drive: This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.

What you’ll need

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial or residential).
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC equipment and at least one additional trade: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general building maintenance.
• Blueprint and as-built drawing literacy.
• Comfort with occasional on-call work.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Certifications may be required.
• Self-starter and teammate who can prioritize, multitask, and communicate well with clients.
• Valid in-state Driver’s License.
• EPA 608 Certification (required).
• HVAC Certification (preferred).

Compensation and benefits

We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $26.01 USD to $31.54, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer.
