JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY:

Primary focus is to perform the mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance of our HVAC systems throughout the Facility to ensure optimal performance

Rotating Shift Schedule: 8 weeks: 6:00AM-2:20PM & 2 weeks: 2:00PM-10:20PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply operating principles, intended functions, proper applications, and design limitations of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, including steam and electric chillers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, AHU and MUA units, fans, thermostats, humidistats, heat exchangers, and condensate pumps.
  • Proficient in performing preventive maintenance (PMs) on steam and electric chillers, cooling towers, rooftop units, and AHU and MUA system, and ability to identify appropriate replacement parts or suitable substitute components to ensure reliable system performance
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, executing repairs, and making necessary adjustments to existing components.

  • Other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Working in a team environment and mentoring others in the HVAC trade.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or completion of a two‑year technical or certification program in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and mechanical systems maintenance or repair.
  • Universal Refrigeration Certification required.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required.
  • Registered Unlicensed Electrician (RUE) designation.
  • Working knowledge of water treatment systems, including chemical treatment, water softening, and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

PAY RANGE:

$32.40 - $40.50

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
