Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.Job SummaryMicron's Facilities Team is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support operations at our state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. This is an exciting opportunity for a high‑energy, detail‑oriented professional with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and excellence.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain instrumentation and control systems for Waste and High Purity Water systems (excluding SCADA).Perform calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards.Interpret P&ID drawings and one‑line diagrams to troubleshoot system faults and alarms.Conduct preventive maintenance on complex facility equipment to ensure optimal performance.Respond promptly to system failures and restore equipment functionality efficiently.Monitor and respond to system alarms and abnormal conditions.Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment issues and improve system reliability.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing, and calibrations.Minimum Requirements1–3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), alternating between day and night shifts every 4 months.Preferred RequirementsValid Electrical Journeyman License.3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferably in a semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing environment.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.BenefitsMicron offers a choice of medical, dental and vision plans in all locations, enabling team members to select the plans that best meet their family healthcare needs and budget.
