Facilities Assistant (Amherst and Derry locations)
- Monitor vendors and requirements relative to the facility such as waste removal
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Perform skilled carpentry, painting, remodeling, and refurbishing of interior and exterior spaces
- Diagnose and perform repairs across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems
- Assist with maintenance of LaBelle Lights
- Lead/assist in the construction of our yearly LaBelle Lights event
- Removal and storage of all LaBelle Lights at end of season
- Perform HVAC filter changes and basic HVAC troubleshooting as required
- Monitor and replace light bulbs and fixtures, interior and exterior, as needed
- Maintain and oversee landscape including weeding, feeding, planting, and watering
- Lead and assist with construction projects as assigned, applying independent judgment to determine best approach and materials
- Manage plumbing, electrical, and water needs and repairs of the facility
- Manage and troubleshoot the irrigation system
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs across all facility systems
- Assist with installation and maintenance of the vineyard
- Manage snow removal, ice, and snow management on property
- Event set-up of chairs, tables, and other furnishings under the direction of Hospitality Managers and/or the Director of Event Operations
- Assist in wine bottling
- Mentor facilities staff and provide hands-on guidance for less experienced team members
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Embody our Core Values at all times

- Advanced, working knowledge across multiple trades — carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical repair
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and problem-solve with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Must take direction and follow through
- Prior experience training or mentoring junior maintenance/facilities staff a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk/stand for long periods; for an entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a food/wine environment
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to drive a golf cart and utility vehicle
- Ability to use leaf blowers and weed trimmers

Experience:
- Maintenance/Facilities: 3+ years (Required)
- Multi-trade experience (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC): Preferred
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
