Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Salary Range: $29.00 - $47.00/ Hr. This position will start in Oxnard, CA and relocate to Henderson, NV by 1/4/2027. Schedule and lead a crew of 5 - 10 facilities maintenance and forklift repair personnel. Execute the building and forklift Preventive Maintenance (P.M.) Program and repairs. Interact and solicit feedback with all departments to resolve maintenance, scheduling and building issues.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Understands/adheres to safety requirements within the department and company.
  • Responsible for all assigned asset equipment relating to facilities.
  • Responsible for supervision of Facilities Staff including hiring, evaluating, training, and developing assigned staff.
  • Strong leadership in safety, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work with contractors, developers and city for remodels and new construction.
  • Responsible to help management with security, housekeeping and safety.
  • Responsible for making sure all grounds are kept to company standards at all times.
  • Work with little to no supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated, have knowledge and skills to organize, plan and prioritize.
  • Expert in all phases of facility repairs in, construction, remodeling, and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Desired qualifications:

  • 10+ years in building maintenance with 5+ years supervision.

Education: Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred major: Engineering.

Minimum years of experience: 10+ years.

Language skills:

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English. Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material. Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public.

Mathematical skills:

Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. May need to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning ability:

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as mathematical and/or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
