Under the general supervision of the County Facilities Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing a variety of custodial and semi-skilled duties in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. |

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
| • | Clean restrooms daily by cleaning and sanitizing toilets, washing stalls and walls, scrubbing floors, emptying trash, and replenishing soap and paper products. |
| • | Clean the buildings by dusting, wiping all counter areas, emptying trash, cleaning stairs, corners, and baseboards, and vacuuming carpeted areas. | |
| • | Water plants throughout buildings according to a predetermined schedule. | |
| • | Wash windows and clean blinds according to a predetermined schedule. | |
| • | Mow and trim the lawn areas; weed and pick up trash as necessary. | |
| • | Shovel snow, maintain sidewalks, and assist in keeping premises safe and orderly. | |
| • | Maintain an accurate inventory of custodial supplies and equipment. | |
| • | Perform minor facility maintenance for internal work order requests, including but not limited to changing light bulbs, hanging pictures, escorting vendors, and replacing filters. | |
| • | Clean hard-surface areas in or around the kitchenette. | |
| • | Perform insect and rodent control. | |
| • | Confidentiality expectations: This position maintains and cleans multiple offices containing confidential information, including names and personal identification information. The candidate is expected to avoid reviewing or reading desktop information and maintain confidentiality while cleaning offices. | |
| • | Security expectations: This position has access to multiple secure areas of the County facilities that are not open to the general public. The candidate is prohibited from sharing access or key cards with any person without prior approval from the corresponding supervisor. | |
| • | The candidate is also expected to keep all areas secure and ensure that doors are locked when they leave the area. | |
| • | Must be able to work flexible hours. | |
| • | Performs other duties as assigned. |
| • | High School Diploma or GED equivalent requires knowledge and ability to handle all routine tasks, problems, and techniques and solve unusual or unique work tasks with limited assistance in the full range of job duties. |
