Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (M-F)
A manufacturer in the Canton, Ohio area is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. You will be responsible for facility upkeep, routine janitorial tasks, and assisting with basic building and equipment preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
Perform routine janitorial duties, including sanitizing restrooms, lunchrooms, shop floors, and common areas.
Assist with basic building and equipment repairs, light painting, and scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
Maintain exterior grounds, including seasonal snow removal, litter cleanup, and keeping walkways clear.
Safely operate cleaning equipment and standard hand/power tools to support maintenance needs.
Assist in moving equipment, materials, and office furniture as requested.
Promptly report facilities issues or safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor while following company safety policies and wearing required PPE.
Requirements
Prior experience in custodial, janitorial, or basic facilities maintenance preferred.
Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, and facility equipment.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions (e.g., winter grounds keeping).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout an 8-hour shift.
