Job Summary:

The Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a critical member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our rehabilitation center's facilities, equipment, and grounds. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, repairing, and replacing fixtures, furniture, and equipment

• Clean and disinfect facilities, including bathrooms, patient rooms, and common areas

• Assist with groundskeeping, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed

• Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems

• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and prioritize tasks

• Respond to maintenance requests from healthcare professionals and patients

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
