About the Role:
Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Electrician for a premier manufacturing facility in East Syracuse. This is a hands-on, journeyman-level role designed for a professional who can work independently to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize critical electrical and facility systems. This is a Direct Hire position with full benefits starting the first of the month after hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Systems: Perform advanced electrical installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on low and high-voltage systems.
- Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and integrated facility systems.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate work orders, equipment history records, and preventative maintenance logs.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the point of contact for equipment vendors and external contractors.
- Operational Improvement: Recommend and implement energy efficiency and safety improvements.
- Leadership: Provide technical training and support to other maintenance team members as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: 6–8+ years of relevant facilities or electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Education/Certification: Associate Degree, Trade School certification, HVAC Certification, or Electrical Journeyman level status.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced troubleshooting skills in both electrical and HVAC disciplines; strong knowledge of high-voltage systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift heavy materials as required.
- Independence: Proven ability to manage a facility workload independently with minimal supervision.
