Supports the cooperative's facilities and grounds by assisting with routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of buildings, offices, shops, warehouses, and company property.
This is a hands-on position and is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with tools, solving practical problems, and completing a variety of maintenance tasks. The intern will work alongside experienced employees and gain exposure to building maintenance, grounds care, basic repairs, equipment upkeep, and workplace safety.
The work may be performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve travel between cooperative facilities.

Previous experience with maintenance, construction, landscaping, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical work, or similar hands-on activities is helpful but not required.
Internship Experience
This internship provides practical experience with the work required to maintain safe, functional, and well-kept facilities. The intern will gain exposure to a variety of maintenance activities while learning how facilities support the daily operations of an electric distribution cooperative.
Schedule: Normal working hours start as early as 6:00 am and end as late as 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
Internship Dates/Hours: Interns are limited to 1,000 total work hours, unless otherwise approved by the cooperative.
