    About the Role

    As the Lead, Facilities at Quincy Medical Group, you will serve as a hands-on technical expert and day-to-day operational resource for the Facilities team. This role combines HVAC and general facilities expertise with workflow coordination, helping ensure our clinics and facilities remain safe, functional, and ready to support patient care.

    You will work alongside Facilities Technicians in the field while also coordinating daily service requests, technician assignments, and work order priorities across QMG locations. As a go-to technical resource, you will help troubleshoot complex issues, provide guidance to team members, and step in to perform repairs and preventive maintenance when needed.

    This is a working Lead position with no direct supervisory responsibilities. It is ideal for an experienced facilities professional who enjoys solving problems, helping others develop their skills, and taking ownership of getting the right resources to the right place at the right time.

      Schedule & Work Environment

      • Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, with some flexibility based on operational needs.
      • Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend facility needs and serves as a technical resource for urgent troubleshooting.
      • Hands-on role supporting QMG facilities in a variety of indoor, outdoor, and mechanical environments.


      Primary Responsibilities

      • Serve as the team's primary technical resource, providing hands-on HVAC and general facilities expertise, troubleshooting, and guidance to Facilities Technicians.
      • Diagnose and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility issues while completing preventive maintenance and installations as needed.
      • Triage and prioritize incoming service requests and coordinate daily technician assignments based on urgency, location, and skill set.
      • Monitor work orders, preventive maintenance, technician schedules, and service requests to ensure timely completion and appropriate coverage.
      • Provide on-the-job coaching, training, and technical support to technicians, including onboarding new team members.
      • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
      • Communicate with departments regarding service needs, timelines, and urgent facility concerns.
      • Maintain accurate work order and maintenance documentation while identifying recurring issues and opportunities to improve department efficiency.
      • Support team scheduling, timecard and time-off approvals, inventory needs, and other day-to-day operational activities.
      • Participate in the on-call rotation and assist with triage and coordination of urgent after-hours facility needs.
      • Perform other duties as assigned to support Facilities operations.

      Qualifications

      • High school diploma or GED required.
      • Previous experience in commercial facilities maintenance, HVAC, building maintenance, or a related skilled trade required.
      • Strong HVAC knowledge and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve general facilities issues.
      • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems preferred.
      • Previous experience as a Lead, senior technician, mentor, trainer, or technical resource preferred.
      • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
      • Ability to work independently while providing technical guidance and support to other team members.
      • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between QMG locations required.
      • Ability to participate in the on-call rotation and respond to urgent facility needs as required.

      The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $20.57 - $30.86 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
