Facilities Maintenance Lead

Facilities Maintenance LeadTupelo, MS

The Facility Maintenance Lead shall be responsible for facilitating and coordinating aspects of a facility"s maintenance activities, including scheduling repairs, managing work orders, maintaining inventory of supplies and parts, assigning tasks to maintenance technicians, communicating with vendors, and ensuring timely completion of preventive maintenance tasks. Responsible for adhering to budget constraints and safety protocols. Acts as the central point of contact for maintenance needs within an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Level 1:
  • Support field maintenance with troubleshooting, corrective action, and repair implementation.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, welding.
  • Competent in reading schematics, drawings, prints, wiring diagrams and bill of material.
  • Manage work orders, including receiving, prioritizing, and assigning work orders to appropriate maintenance technicians based on criticality, trade and appropriate vendor as needed.
  • Scheduling preventative maintenance, including developing and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment and facilities, tracking completion, and following up on scheduled
  • preventative maintenance for both internal and external providers.
  • Inventory management, including maintaining proper levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ordering, tracking, and managing inventory costs.
  • Assist with vendor quotations as required.
  • Generate maintenance and other reports on work completed, equipment status, and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to safety regulations and maintenance standards.
  • Act as a liaison between maintenance staff, operations teams, and other departments regarding maintenance needs.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to analyze maintenance data and identify trends for improvement.
  • Level 2:
  • Proficient at Level 1 skills.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide technical support by performing research and assisting maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Assist in continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.
  • Level 3 (Senior):
  • Proficient at Level 2 skills
  • Review and develop key performance indicators.
  • Budgeting and analytics, including developing reports and monitoring vendors, the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities in areas of ownership.
  • Develop detailed work instructions, standard work, and improve asset management strategies as needed.

Competencies

  • Level 1: High School diploma or GED with 5 years of related experience and/or training. Some college or technical school preferred.
  • Level 2: High School diploma or GED with 8 years of related experience and/or training. Some college or technical school preferred.
  • Level 3 (Senior): High School diploma or GED with 10 years of related experience and/or training. Some college or technical school preferred.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 5% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
