      Facilities Maintenance Mechanic - Operations Department

      Pro Signs is a national leader in the development of corporate branding solutions. We operate an 80,000 square foot sign manufacturing facility located in Downingtown, PA. We are currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic.
       
      Position Summary:
      Reporting to the Operations manager, the Facilities Maintenance Mechanic supports operations by maintaining and repairing shop equipment, managing facilities maintenance, and supports the fleet mechanic as needed. This is a full-time, on-site, non-exempt hourly position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm.
       
      Key Responsibilities:
      • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on shop equipment and forklifts.
      • Maintain a preventative maintenance plan for all shop equipment.
      • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing shop equipment and forklifts.
      • General building maintenance and repair.
      • Document all maintenance and repairs to shop equipment and forklifts.
      • Support the fleet mechanic in minor repairs as needed and serve as a backup in the absence of the fleet mechanic.
      • Lead environmental management by maintaining clean working areas, coordinating with outside vendors, and assisting in staging any waste for removal.
      • Adhere to safety guidelines and complete required safety trainings.
      • Additional duties as assigned.
       
      Qualifications: 
      • Requires working knowledge and experience with Lock Out Tag Out procedures in a manufacturing environment.
      • General mechanical and maintenance abilities with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing shop and/or equipment maintenance. Welding experience a plus. 
      • Experience with forklifts, industrial machinery, hand tools/ power tools required.
      • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
      • Must be able to work as part of a team, be dependable, and motivated to work.
      • Must have basic computer skills (MS Office: Teams, Excel, Outlook)
       
      Physical Requirements:
      • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
      • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
      • Ability to bend, reach, crouch, and twist frequently.
      • Ability to work safely around production equipment including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines.
