About the Role:

Join CBRE as a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic and play an essential role in supporting a healthcare environment where reliability, safety, and operational excellence are critical. In this hands-on position, you will help maintain and repair a wide range of building systems and equipment that keep the facility operating efficiently and support the healthcare professionals who rely on them every day. This union-represented position offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled facilities team in a collaborative and supportive environment. In addition to your regular schedule, you will provide occasional weekend coverage to support team operations and ensure seamless facility performance. What You'll Do:

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Complete upkeep and repair records as required.
  • Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems. Troubleshoot and repair installed systems including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout facility. This includes cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Maintain property grounds by performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal.
  • Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License needed.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Should any element of this Job Description conflict with the provisions of an applicable collective bargaining agreement, the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement will prevail.

Collective Bargaining Agreement: The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Maintenance Mechanic position is $27.88 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
