Facilities Maintenance Worker Pay: $14.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Type: Part-Time Penmac Staffing is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Worker to support daily operations at a local client facility. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout their shift and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The primary responsibility is operating a baler to compact cardboard and other recyclable materials, while assisting with general facility upkeep and cleaning tasks.Requirements for the Facilities Maintenance WorkerCandidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift. Requirements include:
- Forklift experience required
- Experience operating a baler or similar equipment preferred, or willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
- Comfortable working in areas that may involve strong odors, debris, or waste materials
- Ability to walk throughout the facility and work both indoors and outdoors as needed
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Facilities Maintenance Worker ResponsibilitiesAs a Facilities Maintenance Worker, you will help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the facility while supporting recycling and waste management operations. Responsibilities include:
- Operate a baler to process and compact cardboard boxes and other recyclable materials
- Move and transport baled materials using a forklift
- Walk facility grounds to collect trash and maintain cleanliness
- Clean drains and perform routine sanitation duties
- Wash totes and containers as needed
- Assist with general housekeeping and facility maintenance tasks
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
- Support additional facility upkeep duties as assigned
