A day in the life

At our client's plating facility in North Hollywood, CA, you start by walking the floor with the floor manager, checking air compressors, the boiler, rectifiers, and key electrical systems before the production rush. You align your maintenance team on priorities, assign troubleshooting tasks, and ensure the facility is set for peak throughput. You’re hands-on, able to work with little supervision, and you set the tone for safety, efficiency, and reliability.

What you’ll tackle

  • Oversee daily maintenance activities to keep equipment and facilities operating at peak performance.
  • Lead, coach, and support maintenance technicians in diagnostics and repairs.
  • Build and run preventive maintenance schedules aimed at reducing downtime.
  • Inspect equipment and systems regularly to catch and correct issues early.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance and repair records.
  • Coordinate closely with production and other teams to meet maintenance needs quickly.
  • Manage inventory of parts, supplies, and tools to stay ready for scheduled and unscheduled work.
  • Own safety practices on the floor and mentor the team on safe work procedures.
  • Oversee upkeep and repair of plating machinery and related systems.
  • Partner with external vendors for major repairs (air compressor, boiler, chiller, etc.).
  • Perform routine maintenance of shop equipment—air compressors, boiler, rectifiers, electrical equipment—and handle general repairs under the supervision of the floor manager.

Where you’ll apply your expertise

  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across an industrial plating environment.
  • General construction, welding, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
  • Mechanical work, including repairing pumps and filters.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree/certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance or facilities teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts with a track record of quick, effective problem resolution.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of maintenance safety standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in maintenance and repair skills.

Schedule

  • Training: 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • Regular hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm (overtime as needed)

Why this role

You’ll be the go-to leader who keeps critical plating operations reliable, efficient, and safe—mentoring a capable team and making a measurable impact every day.
