Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $109,000.00 - $166,000.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
What you will be doing
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
Facility Maintenance, Repair & Appearance Management
Oversee and perform a broad range of maintenance and repair activities to ensure the hospital environment is safe, functional, and visually well-maintained.
Supervise and coordinate general maintenance work, including:
Painting (interior/exterior), wall patching, and surface refinishing
Carpentry (doors, cabinetry, ceilings, partitions, flooring systems, fixtures)
Minor construction and renovation work
Furniture repair, installation, and adjustments
Ensure the overall appearance of the facility meets hospital standards for cleanliness, aesthetics, and patient experience.
Conduct routine inspections of patient care areas, public spaces, and support spaces to identify deficiencies in finishes, fixtures, and overall condition.
Prioritize and address cosmetic and non-structural repairs that impact patient satisfaction and regulatory readiness.
Oversee flooring systems (tile, carpet, resilient flooring), ceiling systems, and wall protection systems.
Maintain doors, door hardware, locks, and access points to ensure functionality and safety.
Manage signage and wayfinding elements to ensure consistency, clarity, and professional presentation.
Support departmental moves, space reconfigurations, and unit refresh initiatives.
Building Systems Maintenance & Operations
Oversee maintenance and repair of critical building systems, including:
HVAC systems
Electrical systems (including emergency power and generators)
Plumbing systems
Fire protection and life safety systems
Medical gas systems
Ensure infrastructure reliability and minimize system downtime.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with healthcare facility standards and regulatory requirements, including:
Joint Commission (TJC)
NFPA Life Safety Code
OSHA standards
State and local building codes
Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, audits, and compliance reporting.
Support Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety programs.
